Ravindra Jadeja to Miss Second Test Against England Due to Injury: Reports

England defeated India by 28 runs in the first match of the India-England five-Test series.

Now after this defeat, a disappointing news is coming out for the Indian team. It remains an uncertainty whether the second Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will play against England or not.

Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury in the first Test. PTI reports that the star will miss the next Test in this situation. Jadeja was run out while taking a single in the match. This run-out is the reason why the star got injured. In the match, Jadeja was dismissed by England skipper Ben Stokes with a brilliant throw as he tried to take a single off Joe Root.

Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid said about Jadeja after the match.

“I haven’t spoken to Fizzy since the match. I will talk to him about Chechi when I return from here,’ said Dravid.

Jadeja scored 87 runs off 180 balls in the first Test against England. The Indian all-rounder took three wickets in the first innings and two wickets in the second innings for a total of five wickets. Therefore, Jadeja’s absence will be a big blow for India, who are preparing to come back in the second Test.

The second Test match will be played on February 2. The venue is Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
