New Delhi: ICC. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin tops Test cricket bowling rankings again. Ashwin’s excellent performance in the series, including taking nine wickets against England in the 100th Test, brought him back to the top spot. Australia’s Josh Hazelwood is in second place. Jasprit Bumrah (three) and Ravindra Jadeja (seven) are the Indians in the top ten.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who performed well against England, is at the 16th position. Young batsman Yashaswi Jaiswal crossed 700 rating points in just nine Test matches. Jaiswal’s rating point is 740. Jaiswal is the third batsman to cross 740 points or more after nine Tests. Don Bradman (752) and Mike Hussey (741) have previously achieved this feat.
New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is the first in the Test batting rankings. Indian captain Rohit Sharma moved up five places to sixth. Jaiswal is at the eighth position and Shubman Gill is at the 20th position.
