Lamar Jackson had to leave the game against the Browns during the second quarter because of a sprained ankle. He was replaced in command of the Baltimore attack by Tyler Huntley.
Monday, John Harbaugh gave “positive news” from his quarterback. According to the manager, the former MVP avoided a big sprain, which means he may still be available for the match against the Packers counting for the 15th day. Harbaugh explained that the club’s current plan is to have Jackson play, with Huntley in reserve when needed.
“We’ll see where we are with this situation,” Harbaugh announced according to NBCSports.com. “The current idea in my mind is that Lamar will play. We will see how he is this week. If he can go, he will. Otherwise, Tyler will be the quarterback. “
In relief from Jackson, Huntley succeeded 27 of his 38 passes, for 270 yards and 1 touchdown. Still leading the AFC North four weeks from the end, Baltimore remains very well placed to participate in the playoffs next January.
Harbaugh said that Lamar Jackson does not have a high ankle sprain. Harbaugh said that his plans for Sunday still include Lamar Jackson.
