Raum’s first single and video for the song “Happy” has been released / Article / LSM.lv

On March 26, Latvian musician Raum (real name Reinis Straume) will start his solo career with the first song and video “Happy”, which will be released under the auspices of “Warner Music Baltics”, the musician’s representatives informed.

The song “Happier” is the first harbinger of Raum’s sound and the musician’s application for musical performance as a solo performer: “The first song is my business card as Raum. Although I have done this in the musical field before, I am positively anxious, because with Raum’s songs I take full responsibility for what I have said, I show myself as a solo performer and singer in such a direct way as never before! ” The musician said: “The song“ Happier ”is about toxic relationships and the moment when you are finally ready to break out of them. On the one hand – thank you for the same, and (un) goodbye, but on the other hand – if karma bites the other for wrongdoing, well. Clean for prevention! ”

At the beginning of the year, Warner Music Baltics announced its intention to launch a wider operation in the Baltics, including co-operation with local musicians, with Reini Straum as the first name, which will be known by the stage name Raum.

At the end of last year, an international team was invited to a songwriting camp organized by the record company, Tallinn Downtown Studios, to work with Reini Strauma on both the completion of the already written Raum songs and new songs. Reinis Straume himself is the author of “Happier” lyrics and music, but Estonian authors Karl Killing and Daniel Levi have also written the song as co-authors. The producers of the song are the Finnish band “Los Rollos”.

Along with the song, a video of the song was published, in which the main role is played by Raum himself and the actress Lelde Dreimane participates. The video of the song was created by the domestic company “371 Production”, whose team includes the director of the video Mark Landmanis, producer and screenwriter Bruno Rejs Corns, as well as the cameraman Rihards Dīcis.

Speaking about the video, the musician revealed that together with the director and screenwriter, an idea emerged about the musical elements in the clip and the dancing scenes: “For me as a non-dancer in capital letters, it was a challenge – to sing and dance for the first time in my life! Many thanks to everyone who took part in the creation of the video – the filming team, Lelde Dreimane, actors and friends of the background, as well as choreographer Ieva Biteniece and dancers. ”

Raum (real name Reinis Straume) is a musician and songwriter who applied as a solo artist in 2021 and is the first Latvian performer to sign a contract with the music recording company Warner Music Baltics. For several years, Straume has been one of the leading members of the group “Double Faced Eels” and the author of music and lyrics for several of the group’s most successful songs of recent years (“Reflection”, “Flame / Fire”, “She does not dance”, “Where are you?”, ” Unformatted ”). The band won Best.Cover.Ever on the YouTube show in Los Angeles. Reinis Straume also became one of the finalists of the 2nd season of the domestic show “X Faktors”.
