Ratingen. The CDU Ratingen suggests granting companies an interest-free loan in order to be able to bridge the time until the requested support services are received.
Corona is particularly hard hit by the retail trade and gastronomy, including in Ratingen. Companies are burdened by the ongoing lockdown to contain the pandemic situation.
Although the Federal Government, the Prime Minister’s Conference and the Council of the City of Ratingen have already launched various support programs, the Ratingen CDU speaks of an “unprecedented action in this form”, but the payments have not arrived everywhere.
“All these packages make the entrepreneurs very hopeful that they will survive this period,” said the CDU. “Due to the special situation, which also poses difficult tasks for the various ministries and administrations, it is currently unsuccessful due to the disbursement of the promised aid amounts.”
Because the companies’ reserves have largely been used up, but the running costs – such as rent, electricity or insurance – still have to be serviced, the Ratingen CDU proposes an interest-free bridging loan.
The parliamentary group justifies its proposed resolution as follows: “In order to prevent a wave of bankruptcies until the arrival of Corona aid, we would like the
