Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart PC Version Released, Hardware Requirements and Features Revealed

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is coming to PC in less than two weeks
There is support for the Dual Sence controller or even Czech subtitles
The hardware requirements are not bad, unless you enable Ray Tracing

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is still one of the best looking PlayStation 5 games. However, computer owners will also be able to enjoy it later this month. When it was released, it perfectly demonstrated the use of fast SSDs in the new generation of consoles. The developers even claimed that the game cannot work on a classic HDD, which is why, for example, the older PlayStation 4 Pro was not planned. But the problem is probably not with the disc itself, because as the newly revealed hardware requirements showed, you can play on PC even if you have the game on a classic disc.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will also arrive on PC with Czech subtitles

Behind the port is the studio Nixxes Software, who are literally specialists in remakes of PC games. On their list you can find, for example, the last Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It can thus be expected that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will also be one of the more successful ports. There is support for the DualSense controller or the ability to unlock the frame rate.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart PC version hardware requirements

It is already clear from the published requirements that the optimization was relatively successful, if Ray Tracing is not activated. The minimum requirements for playing at 30 FPS at HD resolution include an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i3-8100 processor. The interesting thing is that at least an HDD is enough. However, a faster SSD is recommended even for minimum requirements, so it can be expected to significantly improve the experience. In total, the game takes 75 GB from the disk.

For the recommended requirements for playing in Full HD and 60 FPS, a graphics card at the level of Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 is needed. For basic Ray Tracing at 1440p and 60 FPS, it is already ideal to have at least a card at the level of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and newer six-core processor such as AMD Ryzen 5 5600.

For ultimate gaming in 4K resolution and 60 FPS with the best details and active Ray Tracing, you need a proper machine. Specifically, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX cards are recommended. It is worth noting that with active Ray Tracing, developers recommend active upscaling in the form of Nvidia DLSS, Intel XeSS or AMD FSR.

The game Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will arrive on PC on July 26, and you can already pre-order it on Steam, for example. It’s definitely something to stand for. The original 2021 PS5 version holds an average rating of 88 from over 127 reviews on Metacritic.
