Ratatan: The Spiritual Successor to Patapon by Ratata Arts Revealed at BitSummit Lete’s Go

Rat Ratatan Ratatan! Previously called the JabberWocky project, Ratatan, the spiritual successor to Patapon made by Ratata Arts, was announced during BitSummit Lete’s Go in Kyoto (Japan). A crowdfunding campaign for the game will start on Kickstarter on July 31st.

The platforms where you will be able to enjoy the rhythm game have not yet been announced, as well as a release date. The gameplay was not revealed by the studio, however, judging by the music and the group of soldiers moved by the music, it seems to be very close to the PSP title:

Ratatan will have an interesting team looking after the project. The director of the game will be Hiroyuki Kotani, designer of Patapon, and the position of producer will be with Kazuto Sakajiri, who worked on The Eye of Judgment. The composition of the songs will be with Kenmei Adachi, from Patapon, LocoRoco and Gran Turismo.

Those responsible for the title promised to share more information on July 29, just before opening the crowdfunding campaign.

Will Ratatan have multiplayer?

Those responsible for Ratatan dodged a question about the game’s multiplayer feature. The answer did not come as everyone expected. According to Sakajiri’s producer, TVT’s motto is “Let’s Play More, Together”.
