The idea for a name for the team came up during a trip to the subway.
Musician Nikolai Rastorguev finally decided to tell why the Lyube group is called that way. He explained how the team got such a “name”.
The group was founded in 1989. Her songs combine rock music and military song elements. Then the musicians could not come up with a name. The idea came to Rastorguev and producer Igor Matvienko when they were riding the subway. Rastorguev told his colleague about the slang word from childhood – “lyube”. In an interview “Moscow region today”he explained that this means the word “any”.
“So the name of the group appeared,” the performer said.
