The maker of the tiny computers has something to celebrate.
Feast for Raspberry. The company has been in existence for eight years. We are now in the fourth generation of the Raspberry Pi. To celebrate the company’s eight-year anniversary, Raspberry has come up with a cool update for the Pi 4.
The first computer was sold in 2012. Since then, more than 30 million Pi’s have been sold worldwide. The company regularly comes with updates for the computer. The current model is the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. This model was announced last year.
Raspberry now has good news for this model. To celebrate their eight year anniversary, you can buy a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 2 GB of memory for $ 35. This symbolic amount is a reference to the first Raspberry. It also cost 35 dollars in 2012.
This gives the company a 15 dollar discount. Normally you pay 45 dollars for the 2 GB version. This is the intermediate model. There is also a Pi 4 with 1 GB and a Pi 4 with 4 GB of memory. The latter also costs 55 dollars.
Other features of the Pi 4 are a USB 2 and 3 port, Micro HDMI ports and a USB-C input.
