London –
Rasmus Hojlund still waiting for his first goal in the Premier League. Players Manchester United accused of ignoring Hojlund when beating Sheffield United.
The young Danish striker has scored three goals for MU since being bought in a deal worth 72 million pounds last summer. However, these goals came from his two appearances in the Champions League.
Hojlund himself has started five times in six Red Devils matches in the Premier League, including the 2-1 win at home to Sheffield United. MU’s victory was determined by goals from Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot in each half.
Meanwhile, Hojlund failed to make an impact after not firing a single shot during his time on the field. In the process, Hojlund was replaced by Anthony Martial after an hour of the match.
Former Chelsea and Dutch national team striker Ruud Gullit feels, Rasmus Hojlund not getting enough service from his teammates. Even though Hojlund needs goals to increase his confidence.
“I think you have to make your attackers score goals,” Gullit said Premier League Production. “The thing is, if he scores goals he will gain confidence, then other players will always target him.”
“They don’t look for him much anyway. Even though he is in areas where you can see him. You see too many players who want to score too much themselves. They get into the box, they want to shoot at goal all the time.”
“You know strikers they are selfish, they need to score goals. If he is happy in his team, then it will make a big difference to the other players,” Gullit said.
