The resigned Minister of Internal Affairs, Boyko Rashkov, will not be part of Asen Vassilev’s draft cabinet. This was confirmed by the resigned Deputy Prime Minister Vassilev to journalists after a meeting between the partners from PP, BSP and DB on the program of the future cabinet.
Rashkov will be appointed head of the anti-corruption commission.
The project cabinet will be ordered when a majority in the parliament is secured, Vassilev explained. But he did not want to answer whether they have already found 121 deputies.
Resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov did not say whether he will remain in the future cabinet. Parliamentary rumors a few days ago elevated him to the position of Minister of Finance in the place of Vassilev.
The leader of BSP Kornelia Ninova and the co-chairman of DB Atanas Atanasov confirmed that they have understood and are unanimous on the new program. It is focused on reforming the anti-corruption commission, income, ensuring sufficient energy resources for the winter.
