Bill Murray with the abundant life of New York as a backdrop. Or at least from New York before the coronavirus pandemic. And as such, the actress can not help but be overcome by nostalgia by thinking back to the shooting of the film, however recent.
“I learned in retrospect how much I love and appreciate New York City, and because we shot it right before lockdown, it immediately feels nostalgic. So I learned that I still love New York because sometimes I question (the city) but I already feel like I miss it during this time, ”she told Gold Derby.
Melancholy
A feeling redoubled by the fact that the actress really finds herself in the character written for her by Sofia Coppola, that of a mature New Yorker in search of herself and for whom the beating heart of the city undoubtedly makes it possible to cover the noise of its existential anguishes.
“I think I’ve learned that I’m not the only person who feels this type of melancholy about coming into middle age and figuring out how you are adjusting to your own life. Because I think this character that Sofia wrote is kind of the archetype of a woman of a certain age and what she goes through and I can relate to it, ”continued Rashida Jones.
