Marcus Rashford scored two goals against Wales. This made Rashford liven up the competition Top scorer of the 2022 World Cup.
Rashford was installed as the current starter English met Wales in their final Group B match at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Rau (30/11/2022) WIB early morning.
It was Rashford who broke the England deadlock in the 50th minute with his free kick in front of the penalty area, sending the ball into the top left corner of Danny Ward’s goal.
After doubling the score through Phil Foden a minute later, England secured a 3–0 victory courtesy of Rashford’s second goal in the 68th minute.
England qualified for the round of 16 as group leaders with seven points from three games, two ahead of runners-up United States.
Rashford is obviously even happier with his brace as he not only outlasted the Three Lions but also brought him level with Kylian Mbappe, Cody Gakpoand Enner Valencia tops the list of top scorers with three goals.
Rashford’s goal tally could have gone up as England again face Senegal in the quarter-finals this weekend.
