London: Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and coach Erik ten Haag have been named as the best player of the last month in the English Premier League after announcing the manager and coach.
Rashford played four matches in the Premier League in February and scored five goals. Rashford’s goals were scored against Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Leicester City. With this, Rashford was able to join the record of winning the most Player of the Month awards in one season in the Premier League. Rashford equaled the record set by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the 2017-2018 season. Rashford won the award for the third time this season.
United coach Erik ten Haag has won the manager of the month award for the second time this season. United went on an unbeaten run in February. The team has three wins and one draw in four matches. Ten Haag is also the manager who won United’s first title since 2017. Ten Haag and his team recently won the English Football League (Carabao Cup) title.
The award for the best save also goes to United. United’s goalkeeper David de Gea’s save was voted the best save. Gea won the award for saving Kalechi Iheanacho’s shot against Leicester City.
