Since last summer, the Russian military has deployed Su-57 Felon fighters to bomb Ukraine.
But, according to intelligence updates from the British Defense Ministry, President Vladimir Putin’s forces are believed to be using the plane only to launch long-range missiles into the territory of the invaded country.
“The protection of Su-57 jets is symptomatic of Russia’s continued risk aversion [aset] Its Air Force is at war,” the ministry said on Monday, as quoted NewsweekTuesday (10/1/2023).

Furthermore, the ministry said that Moscow is trying to protect itself from the possibility of Su-57 technology being infiltrated from Ukraine.
Moscow will also try to avoid the prospect of its Air Force’s battered reputation along with its advanced jets.
However, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu once said that Russian troops had successfully used stealth jets in Ukraine.
He told Russian state media in August 2022 that the Su-57 has a very high level of protection against various missile attacks by enemy air defense systems.
