Jakarta –
It is customary for male snakes to fight with each other when it comes to fighting over their mate. But the action of the duel is rare on the beach.
That’s why visitors to Mudjimba beach, which is in the Sunshine Coast area, Queensland, Australia, were shocked and scared when they saw two snakes fighting.
Wildlife expert, Daniel Busstra, said fights between two snakes often occur at the peak of the mating season. He predicts that visitors to Mudjimba beach will see this action more often in the coming weeks.
But visitors need not be afraid when they see it again. As long as they don’t disturb and disturb during the fight.
“These two love-starved boys were having fun on the beach in Mudjimba yesterday. No one needs to get involved because any snake left untouched is a safe snake,” Daniel said as quoted by Yahoo News.
“How do I know they are boys, you may ask? During male versus male fights, they try to show who is stronger by pushing the other snake’s head down to become dominant.”
The action of the snake duel on Mudjimba beach was captured on video and went viral. Two non-venomous pythons are seen entangled with each other, each trying to assert their dominance.
Although the duration of the video is only a few seconds, the fight between the two snakes lasts more than an hour due to their equal strength.
Before the two snakes duel on the beach took place, another Queenslander was left speechless following a truly gruesome discovery on his ceiling. After hearing a crash on the roof of his dining room, he immediately called for help.
The Sunshine Coast Snake Catching Team immediately rushed to the location. What they found would make even the bravest of people a little scared, two huge male pythons fighting in the empty space between the ceiling and the roof.
