This is an extremely rare event… which nevertheless happened twice on the same day.
While a white boar was photographed this Monday, September 11 at the end of the day, by a man in his garden in Toulonit turns out that another mammal with a white coat was observed at the same time near Carnoules.
Around 7 p.m., Cédric was in the car with his partner when he encountered the white boar near the animal shelter. “We often see wild boars but white, this is the first time, he explains. When we saw him, we thought he was an albino.”
“He wasn’t afraid.”
Not shy, the beast even allowed itself to be approached. “He wasn’t afraid, we called him and he came.” Intrigued by this encounter, Cédric then did some research to find out more about the mammal. “I looked on the internet and apparently there are white wild boars that are not albino.”
