– We received a new LiAZ, worked on it in 2 shifts 3 drivers. As soon as the three of us rolled 250 thousand kilometers, one driver was removed, rolled up to 300 thousand kilometers – and the bus was decommissioned. In total, it was necessary to hit 300 thousand, but because the policy was correct, the car had exhausted its limit. It was economically correct in Soviet times, a car with high mileage began to devour itself with spare parts. Then, after improvements, an epic began to run over 500 thousand kilometers by bus. They painted all sorts of stars, you hit 500 thousand on it – you were awarded a medal, the Order of Friendship, a ribbon, ”recalls Alexander Bashkatov.
