Rare Emerald Green Dodge Viper RT/10 for Sale – Affordable and Collectible

American Dodge produced a total of 6,709 Vipers between 1991 and 1995, but only 441 of them had the rare Emerald Green color. One of these is now for sale and is no more expensive than the more common red pieces.

In the early 1990s, the rivalry between American manufacturers produced one of the greatest automotive legends of all time. Dodge decided to compete with the successful Chevrolet Corvette and together with engineer Carroll Shelby and the Lamborghini factory developed the Viper. The American viper, which was made famous in the world by its jerky fork ten-cylinder and uncultivated driving characteristics. Even the first Viper required a really experienced driver’s hand.

The very first model from the very beginning of the nineties was the Dodge Viper RT/10 with an eight-liter ten-cylinder engine with 298 kW (400 hp) and 630 newton meters and a six-speed manual. The iconic sports roadster is characterized by its red color at the beginning of production, but during its approximately four years of production, it was also produced in other significantly more interesting colors. And one of them has now appeared for sale.

The dark green shade with a touch of blue is called Emerald Green and it appeared on only 441 pieces during the entire production of the first Viper RT/10. At that time, the factory in Detroit, USA produced a total of 6,709 units, most of which were red and black. Other colors on offer were yellow, white, blue, silver and two shades of grey. At the same time, the fewest silver Vipers were produced – only 127.

But let’s get back to the Viper from the current offering of American dealer Art & Speed from Tennessee. It combines the rare green color with the cognac interior and looks really fantastic! The iconic sports car looks like a much more luxurious roadster than it ever was. The massive looking three-spoke aluminum wheels and distinctive exhaust tips sticking out just in front of the rear wheels are also great.

Even after almost thirty years, the green Viper RT/10 from 1994 is in almost perfect condition. In the past, it was in the hands of only two owners, and today’s seller (already the third owner) has not taken it out of the air-conditioned garage in the last eleven months. In total, it has driven only 15,514 kilometers. And while it’s in collector’s attractive condition, it’s not extremely expensive either.

The exclusive Dodge Viper RT/10 in Emerald Green is on sale for “only” 59,900 dollars. In Czech crowns, it is almost 1.4 million crowns. If you look at the European and American advertisements, you will find that it is not overpriced. They cost about the same as the more common red pieces.
