Fans of the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg from 1982, you can buy the mechanical head of the famous alien. A large collection with thousands of film props will go under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions from Thursday.
You have to pay a lot of money for it. The auction’s top piece will fetch around $800,000 to $1 million, auction boss Darren Julien expects. This equates to around 741,000 to 926,000 euros.
The alien’s nostrils open and close and its eyes, lips, eyebrows, tongue and forehead also move. The head comes from the private collection of the late designer Carlo Rambaldi.
In addition to ET’s head, a machete belonging to Harrison Ford was also taken from one Indiana Jonesfilm, the shield of Marvel hero Captain America and a machine gun of Bruce Willis Die Hard auctioned. The auction runs until Sunday, December 17.
