The famous auction house Sothesby’s has included in its offer a rare collector’s item in the form of custom sneakers from Apple
You can buy a relatively well-preserved pair of shoes for a fixed price of $50,000 without tax
If you’re one of the underdogs who lusts after Apple sneakers but somehow couldn’t attend one of the conferences back in the 1990s, you might just be in luck. At least on the assumption that you have an excess of 50,000 US dollars lying around in your account or wallet, which translates to over a million crowns. For this amount, you will get sneakers that could only be accessed by company employees.
No auction this time
You can buy them from Sotheby’s auction house. Surprisingly – somewhat despite the essence of the seller – you do not have to participate in the auction. The mentioned fifty thousand dollars is not the starting price, but the final price, even without tax. If you have doubts about the return on such an investment, know that the world-famous auction house considers a pair of apple shoes a valuable collector’s item.
Don’t overlook

According to Sotheby’s, the future owner can look forward to sneakers with an upper made mainly of white leather, which will be especially interesting with a distinctive element in the form of the then rainbow logo of the Apple company on the tongue and on the sides next to the laces. “These are some of the rarest sneakers in existence. We expect them to be in high demand,” brings rarity and resale potential to Sotheby’s auction house.
According to available information, it should be an unworn pair, i.e. without major signs of wear. The only flaw in the beauty can be considered yellowed spots on the midsoles and toes, which is not surprising for a white material after so many years. Although the mentioned price is stated without tax, it is still a cheaper piece compared to, for example, the original iPhone in the version with 4 GB of memory, which was recently sold for an astronomical 190 thousand dollars, i.e. for almost 4.2 million crowns.
