“Rare Barn Find: Pristine Vintage Chevrolet Cars Discovered in Oklahoma Shed”

When an old barn reveals its secret in the form of vintage cars, it’s often a real mess, lots of parts rolling around on the floor, hoods and roofs of the cars, and the parts themselves are in a condition that will require a huge amount of work and money to turn into a representative piece .

However, that is not the case this time. American YouTuber Patrick Glenn Nichols, who explores old barns full of cars, revealed in his video a small shed in Oklahoma that looks remarkably clean. That is, except for such a thick layer of dust that it is hard to tell the color of the car or whether we are looking at a sheet metal or a window.

The owner of these cars is obviously a fan of the first generation 409 V8 from General Motors, as most of the cars here are equipped with this 6.7L V8. We see Bel Air, Impala or Biscayne Chevrolets from the first half of the 1960s, plus a few pickups of the same brand from the early 1970s.

One of them, a red Super Cheyenne, is according to the author of the video after a partial renovation and it really looks like it – the inside is like new and even the wooden floor of the body looks unused.

A more interesting piece, however, stands right next to it – a Chevrolet Bel Air from 1961 with the aforementioned 409, which is said to be in its original condition. It’s really hard to believe because it looks new perhaps even more than the Cheyenne. Even the rubber door seals look nice and the interior headliner isn’t sunken, and the engine bay is also clean, just dusty. And his tires, unlike most of the other cars in this barn, still hold air.

The other cars don’t look that much worse in terms of technical condition, but even if you washed off the huge deposits of dust, it would still be clear from the flat tires that no one had driven them for a long time.

Perhaps the most prized car in this barn is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396. The car has basically no dust on it and according to the author it should be partially restored, or at least repainted, but it is an original SS 396. The SS designation means a modified version chassis for better handling and the number 396, in turn, the engine volume in cubic inches – 6.5 liters.

Its condition shows that this garage is not completely forgotten, that its owner knows what he has at home. But why he lets other cars gather dust, and also why he has so many very similar ones, remains a mystery.
