Rare 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur to Be Auctioned at Mecum, Maintains Factory Appearance

Unlike many other Skyline GT-Rs, this model remains completely unchanged and retains its factory appearance

The Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur rarely hits the used car market. Therefore, the appearance of this lot at the Mecum auction, which is scheduled for March 5-9, will certainly create a lot of noise. This 2002 model was imported from Japan to the United States in April 2023.

All versions of the R34 GT-R are special, but this one is especially special. The Nur M-Spec variant is created in honor of Kazutoshi Mizuno (the mastermind behind the GT-R) and is named after the Nürburgring. Nissan produced a total of 285 Nur M-Spec models. This particular car is even rarer as it is one of only 24 painted black.

The announcement notes that the car is completely production. This in itself is a rarity for the Skyline GT-R. It continues to ride on the original six-spoke wheels, and a look under the aluminum hood reveals a gold engine cover and VIN plate. The car’s interior is trimmed in black leather and contrasting gold stitching throughout.

The car has traveled just under 44,000 km. The auction house has not published an estimated selling price for the car, but 12 months ago a similar 2002 Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur, painted in Millenium Jade color and also covered 44,000 km, was sold for $455,000 (about 41 million rubles per year). present day).
