EThis same night one of the most anticipated events of WWE will be held: NXT TakeOver In Your House. The PPV, starring the gold and black brand better known as NXT, will put nothing more and nothing less than five championships. Also, if we consider that one of them is the famous Million Dollar Championship to popularize Ted DiBiase In the nineties, we have no choice but to count the hours until the event starts.

While the time comes, MARCA has had exclusive access to an interview with the NXT Champion, the Texan of Mexican descent Raquel Gonzlez, than to defend his championship for the first time in an event of such great importance. Su rival, Ember Moon, is an old acquaintance who, after tasting the honeys of the main cast, returned to NXT to continue showing that she can once again be the champion she already was.

P. Women like Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley or Charlotte Flair came directly from NXT and today they are having a lot of success in the company, do you ask these fighters for advice to improve their careers?

R. Obviously yes. So far I have not had the opportunity to talk so much with Sasha Banks and Charlotte but I started at the Performance Center with Bianca and Rhea and the three of us are true pillars, we learned together, we have many memories together. I can always ask them for advice and they tell me how they got to where they are today. It is something very important for me to be able to continue having that kind of relationship with both of you, but I also started with Ember Moon here and, although I don’t have that much relationship with her, that motivates me more in the face of my fight tonight against her.

Q. Many of us consider you to have one of the most powerful fighting styles in the company. Is there a Superstar who has been your role model?

P. There are many because once I started to learn a fighting style determined to my physique, I started watching fights, especially from Kevin Nash or Stan Hansen. But, especially, there are two people who helped me since I was a child, and it was Chyna and Beth Phoenix, more than anything because when they started they were different and they knew it. They were so eager to do new things that it was what motivated me to focus more on them and want to be as great as these superstars.

Q. Which fighter from the past or present would you like to face in your dream match?

R. I would like to have a fight with Beth Phoenix. We have the same style but she is a legend and I think I could learn a lot about myself in this fight. Another of my dreams would be to face Lita, because she was also one of those women who began to be successful when women were not having so much prominence in WWE. She was very different and very extreme and that’s why I think I want to fight her.

Q. This is going to be the first NXT TakeOver in which I defend the NXT Championship, how is it? How does the champion feel hours before defending the championship?

R. I have all the emotions in the world. I’m always nervous, but I think it’s good because it shows that you are focused on a fight as important as this, my first defense in a TakeOver and against Ember Moon, who is one of the best fighters. I know this fight is one of the most important of my career and that is why I have to remember who I am. And I am the most ‘chingona’ of NXT and that is the mentality for tonight’s fight at NXT TakeOver.

Q. What legacy would you like to leave in NXT?

R. I want to leave a great legacy. The number of fights may not be the most important thing, but the rivals I am facing: Ember Moon, Mercedes Martnes, Io Shirai … They all have so much experience and with such different styles … For me the most important thing is How am I going to finish this fight and I want to finish it, tonight and those of the future, strong, up and being the most ‘chingona’ because I know that I am the strongest woman in NXT, the strongest of the entire cast.
