The Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) are hoping to replace Slovenian Goran Dragicchi with a “dedle”, ESPN reports.
It was previously reported that on August 6, there was an exchange transaction between Miami “Heat” and “Raptors”, as a result of which the US club acquired Kaila Laurija, while Press Akkiuv and Dragičs, who has been playing for the Miami team since 2014, went in the opposite direction.
Dragic himself was not enthusiastic about the deal. “Toronto is not the place I wanted to be. I have more ambition. Let’s see, ”said Dragic, who after 2021/2022. season will be able to become an unlimited free agent.
Meanwhile, ESPN journalists have found out that in the first half of the season, Dragic will be a Raptors rotating player, and the team will look for alternatives to replace him by March 25, 2022, the last day for swaps. Dragic is currently participating in a Toronto unit training camp.
Last season, the experienced player scored an average of 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 50 main tournament battles. In four play-offs, he averaged 16.0 points, 1.8 assists and 2.8 assists. Since 2014, when Dragic became a Heat basketball player, the Miami team has played once in the final, as well as missed the playoffs three times.
