Rapper Travis Scott pays funeral costs of victims at festival, visitors get tickets refunded

Scott, less known to us but very popular in the US, has been criticized for being known for stirring up his fans during his concerts. For example, he often calls during performances to ignore safety instructions. According to some, he would have continued playing during the chaos in the first instance.

The rapper would now like to pay back all visitors to the festival. That’s what insiders of Scott tell the American entertainment website Variety. He has also decided to cancel his concert at the Day N Vegas festival next weekend because he is reportedly too upset to perform.

Scott has according to the magazine RollingStone also offered to pay the funeral expenses of the eight deceased festival-goers. The victims were people between the ages of 14 and 27, most of them schoolchildren and students. The rapper wants to set up a psychological helpline with the American organization BetterHelp for those who need it.

The rapper previously stated that he did not notice that things went wrong during the show. Houston police said stopping was not an option as it may have sparked riots. Both Scott and the organization have been sued by visitors.
