Rapper Snoop Dogg in mourning after losing his mother

On Sunday, rap icon Snoop Dogg, 50, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., said his mother, Beverly Tate, had passed away.

“Mom, thank you for getting me,” he wrote to a photo of the two.

In another post, he shared a photo of his mother in a pink dress and hat, where he wrote:

‘Thank God you gave me an angel for mother. Until we meet again ».

Beverly has been hospitalized earlier this year, for unknown reasons, writes TMZ. This summer, Snoop shared a picture from the hospital bed, where he wrote that his mother “opened her eyes to us and let us know that she is still fighting”.

He then visited his mother with his two brothers.

According to Independent she has been hospitalized since May, but the cause of death is currently unknown. Beverly Tate was a writer and evangelist, born in Mississippi.

This is not the first time Snoop has lost someone close to him. In 2019 he and his wife Shante Taylor lost their youngest granddaughter.
