Rapper RAF Camora: After tinnitus and sudden hearing loss, he is back

RAF Camora (40) is back. We hadn’t heard anything from the rapper (‘Primo’) for some time, and that was intentional. The musician was plagued by major health problems, first he developed tinnitus and then even suffered several sudden hearing loss episodes.

“I pressed the reset button once.”

In an interview with ‘Men’s Health’, the Viennese revealed that although it was “scary”, he actually carried on. Eventually, however, he also realized that things couldn’t go on like this. “I initially isolated myself for about three months, had little to no contact with friends and family.” Instead, he devoted himself to nature. “It felt like I did nothing else all day but look at the sea. I completely pressed the reset button once.” The star, whose real name is Raphael Ragucci, is now feeling better and is celebrating a comeback with his new song ‘Out of the Dark’.

RAF Camora is back from the darkness

The title, translated as ‘Out of the darkness’, would describe the days of isolation very well. “Out of the darkness, back into the light. I look back with pride that I got out of there,” said the hip-hop star. Now he is making up for the canceled concerts because “I promised my fans that, I owe it to them.” Afterwards, however, he wants to withdraw from the stage a little, work more as a producer and let others take the limelight. That was also the doctor’s advice. Something like that is of course bitter for the fans, but the music professional also sees something good in his hearing loss. During an online question and answer session, he assured his fans: “I’m not just feeling better, I feel like it was all meant to be. I deal with some things completely differently now because I’ve seen how important (physical and mental) health is in the end.” RAF Camora seems to have found his way.
