Almost one year to the day after Presta, a 27-year-old rapper with Spanish roots from Zelzate, opened his restaurant Limo in the Kanaalstraat, the doors of his second Limo, now in Ternat, opened on Friday. “I want to expand even further and dream of a real chain with more of these typical American diner restaurants,” says the rapper, who, in addition to catering, remains very active in recording, performing and composing.
Presta surprised Zelzate when he took over the old hotel-restaurant Mondial just a year ago. The rapper, who has found his way since 2018 and has now released 25 singles, then entered the catering industry for the first time. He converted the hundred-year-old eatery into a hip bar-restaurant, inspired by the ‘American diner’ with a range of typical burgers, steaks and even American pancakes. He closed the night bar after a few months and focused fully on his restaurant.

“Very coincidentally I came across a wok restaurant along the Assesteenweg in Ternat. I just came to pick up a second-hand refrigerator but got into a conversation with the manager. He told me that he was going to pass on the matter and after one night of thinking about it, I struck. We have been renovating since August because the business is more than six times as big as here in Zelzate,” Presta explains. The Limo in Ternat will open today, Friday, September 15, and it will be a copy of Zelzate in terms of name, design and offering.
“For the time being, we will start with take away because I am still looking for someone who wants to keep the business open for me, say a franchisee. It remains difficult to find employees for the catering industry. ” Presta makes no secret of the fact that he wants to continue with this business model. “I continue to look for new locations to start a Limo there too. I dare to dream of a kettle of Limos where people can enjoy delicious American food in the typical 1950s interior of American roadside restaurants.”
