“The wall of silence has been broken”, says lawyer Tony Buzbee. After the indictment of Sean Combs, alias P. Diddy, in New York, two weeks ago, and the establishment of a telephone crisis line, his office located in Houston (Texas) received more than 3 200 calls from victims or witnesses of attacks by the former rap star, now 54 years old.

One hundred and twenty victims have already been identified: among them, as many women as men, 25 were minors at the time of the events. They all tell the same thing: parties, auditions and drinks to be had. “If you refused to drink it, you would be kicked out of the party,” explains Tony Buzbee. “You had to drink the drink that was handed to you. We know now that in most cases, maybe 90 percent of the cases, these people were drugged. That was the modus operandi.” Including for very young people who dreamed of breaking into music.
The lawyer thus mentioned the case of a boy aged 9 years old at the time of the events he describes. “He was taken to an audition in New York for Bad Boy Records. He was sexually abused, allegedly by Sean Combs and several others, at the studio, with promises to him and his parents of landing a recording contract “.
The civil complaints will be filed within a month. Around a hundred other alleged victims could be added to the file by then. The revelations about the rapper started last year with a complaint from his ex-partner, singer Cassie. Since then, several alleged victims have come forward, which prompted the Manhattan federal prosecutor’s office to arrest the artist in mid-September. He is currently incarcerated, awaiting his trial.
