Four people were injured in a shooting at an after-party after Justin Bieber’s performance in Los Angeles. Among them was rapper Kodak Black, reports NBC News† Kodak Black and another were said to have been taken to hospital, the other two were treated on the spot. The victims are doing well under the circumstances.
It is not clear what led to the fight. Bieber had given a private concert as part of Super Bowl week, the pinnacle of the American football season with the final being played tonight in Los Angeles.
The performance featured a host of celebrities, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, rapper Drake, Khloe Kardashian and Tobey Maguire. The afterparty was held in an Italian restaurant.
Rode Ferrari
A video on entertainment site TMZ shows Kodak Black posing with several others for fans and photographers. Moments later, a fight breaks out among a group of men gathered around a red Ferrari. Suddenly ten shots go off, causing people to flee in all directions.
Kodak Black was convicted in 2019 of illegal weapons possession, but he was pardoned by outgoing President Trump in early 2021. He has made three albums so far, Painting Pictures, Dying to Live in Bill Israelall of which reached high marks in the American charts, but he also regularly makes the news with controversial statements.
