The police are currently investigating a male rapper in his 20s who made his name known through appearances on a popular hip-hop competition program charged with habitual use of marijuana.
According to the police on the 29th, the Seoul Mapo Police Station has recently booked a 20-year-old surnamed Kim, who is suspected of violating the Narcotics Control Act, and is investigating without detention.
Mr. Kim is suspected of taking marijuana while traveling with an acquaintance around March.
The police conducted a simple drug test for the two people, and it is known that both came out negative.
Accordingly, the police sent the body hair of the two to the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (National Forensic Service) to request precise evaluation, and are currently waiting for the results.
In addition, Mr. Kim did not comply with the recent police investigation, and the police executed an arrest warrant and applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. Kim on the 28th, the previous day.
Kim was found to have a history of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Kim previously appeared on Mnet’s hip-hop contest programs, Show Me the Money 9 (aired in October-December 2020) and High School Rapper 4 (aired in February-April 2021).
