Rapper Boef is not allowed to drive a car for a year and a half and must transfer 6,500 euros to the Association for Traffic Victims. This was determined by the court in Den Bosch after a number of gross speeding offenses. The ruling confirms an earlier judgment of the court in Breda.
Rapper Boef, the stage name of Sofiane Boussaadia, drove way too fast on the Brabant roads in 2016. He was allowed to borrow a friend’s car and was tearing at nearly 300 kilometers per hour on the highway from Eindhoven to Tilburg.

Then he also drove much too fast in the built-up area of Tilburg. There he reached a maximum speed of 165 kilometers per hour. If he makes a mistake again, the rapper will be jailed for two weeks and a further one-year driving ban.

The court blames rapper Boef for tearing so hard on the road. His defense that he had swapped places with someone and that he was not the one who drove so fast through the built-up area is not believed by the court. The court also blames him for the fact that the images were then put on YouTube.

In determining the punishment, the court also took into account that Boef has enough money to hire a driver during the period that he is not allowed to be behind the wheel himself.
