Atlanta police are looking for a suspect who stole rapper Akon’s car on the evening of May 25 in Atlanta. As reported by the American channel Fox5 Atlanta, Akon car-jacked his Range Rover at a Buckhead gas station when he was filling up.
Theft has occurred “shortly after midnight” on the evening of May 25, specifies the police forces to Fox5 Atlanta. “It takes a second to get into a vehicle and drive off,” said Captain Graham of the Atlanta Police Force. The vehicle was later found in Georgia in Forest Park, approximately 16 minutes by journey from the location of the flight, thanks to the “Find My Iphone” application. The police have also launched a call for witnesses to try to get more information about the identity of the suspect.
This theft took place the day after a decision by Atlanta City Councilor Natalyn Archibong, who wants force gas stations of the city to be equipped with security cameras near gasoline pumps to deter auto thieves. Akon was not injured during the flight and has not yet communicated on the subject.
