Lübeck – With a view to the upcoming start of the season in Holstein State League Some teams only have one weekend left to put the finishing touches to their test games. The selection of opponents promises top-class duels: The Sereetzer SV competes with VfB Lübeck II, Rapid Lübeck competes against VfR Neumünster, Eutin 08 receives FC Dornbreite, and the SSC Hagen Ahrensburg faces SV Eichede. All opponents from the major league. There are also games in Lübeck between the Eichholzer SV against SG Sarau/Bosau and Phoenix Lübeck II against VfL Lohbrügge.

Focus on tactics and team spirit

The coaches of the state league teams are largely satisfied with how the preparations have gone. André Frese from Sereetzer SV said: “On the whole, we are satisfied with the preparation. The team is doing well in the units. Colds are a little annoying, but all teams have to deal with that. In addition to fitness, we are also working on our processes with and against the ball. That will also be our focus in the next few weeks.” These words reflect a positive attitude, despite minor disruptions due to illness.

Good atmosphere in the team

Dario Bilic from Rapid Lübeck emphasizes the discipline and commitment of its players: “The boys received individual training plans before Christmas and all adhered to them throughout, which was evident and very pleasing during the performance tests. The preparation initially had to be redesigned due to the weather – but everything is going according to plan. The focus is currently still on individual and team tactics.” Bilic emphasized the importance of individual preparation and the tactical orientation of the team.

Not only the physical preparation, but also the tactical orientation and team spirit are the focus of the final preparations. “Looking at the goal difference in the first half of the season and the table situation, the focus is on being good defensively. However, we have a lot of quality offensively and at the same time we want to rely on our strengths. So we currently want to further rehearse the three-man chain, which was very secure in the first two games and hardly allowed either opponent any chances to score. Therefore, a test match opponent from a higher class is very convenient for us and I look forward to further insights from the upcoming game. “At the current level, I would praise the very good atmosphere in the team as well as the high level of participation in training,” Bilic continued, which underlines the importance of tactical flexibility and team spirit.

Looking forward to Dornbreite

Christian Kamm von Eutin succinctly summarized the objectives for the final test phase: “No special features so far. In the third test we want to continue to find our rhythm. We are looking forward to a good opponent from Dornbreite.” The test games offer the teams in the regional league a final opportunity to prove themselves under competitive conditions and to make final adjustments before the start of the season.
