As a result of the nervous pressure and problems that we may encounter, whether in daily life, study, or work, some people live in a state of severe depression and extreme sadness, and it may even lead to self-harm at times, and here rapid intervention is necessary to treat the condition.

In this context, Dr. Jamal Farweez, a mental health consultant, said: “Rapid intervention to save a psychiatric patient who suffers from severe depression or attempts to harm himself is a good step, and he will recover quickly. In all mental health hospitals, there is what is called the “Protocol for Treating a Person Who Is Trying to Harm Himself.” Because of severe depression.”

He added, this treatment takes place in a room designated for the patient and has certain conditions, including:

-The room must be free of any means of psychological harm, whether “electricity, wires, sharp instruments, etc.”

Depending on the gender of the patient, there must be a nurse if the patient is a male or a nurse if the patient is a woman, who follows the patient 24 hours a day and never leaves him.

-Some cases require electroencephalography sessions, but only after the approval of the Supreme Council for Mental Health.

Froese continued, “The highest rates of attempts at self-harm in the world occur during adolescence, and often nervous, nervous people are exposed to any pressure, whether in school or relationships. They cannot stand the pressure and the first thing they think about is self-harm.”

He continued his speech by saying, “There are some diseases and psychological problems that may increase the risk of a person harming himself, including “emotional depression, auditory hallucinations, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.”

He concluded his speech by saying, “If there is a person around you who suffers from depression, stress, tension, or other psychological problems, it is advised to be close to him, help him with treatment, and encourage him to go to a psychiatrist.”
