In short
The Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital and the Saint-Eustache Hospital are both enhanced by the addition of a rapid hospitalization complex. These projects make it possible to quickly add care beds to serve the population and meet needs. The assembly of these complexes is carried out in a few months and they represent a first of their kind in Quebec.
Main advantages of these projects
- Improvement of the organization of care by freeing up spaces within the two hospitals.
- Increase in the number of acute care beds.
These complexes make it possible to reorganize the interior spaces of hospitals in order to more easily accommodate users requiring hospitalization.
The surgical clientele was selected to occupy the rapid hospitalization complexes in order to allow surgical activities to be maintained, as much as possible, in the context of COVID-19. Despite COVID-19, the population continues to need our services for surgeries, diagnostic examinations, various consultations, etc.
At the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital, the rapid hospitalization complex includes 57 alcoves / rooms.
At the Saint-Eustache Hospital, the rapid hospitalization complex includes 62 alcoves / rooms.
