Raphael Varane’s Injury Concerns at Manchester United: Tim Sherwood Questions Contribution

Raphael Varane often injured while in uniform Manchester United. Former Premier League player, Tim Sherwood, questioned the defender’s contribution to MU.

Raphael Varane bought Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. Unfortunately, the central defender is still prone to injuries.

In notes Transfer market, Raphael Varane has a long injury history since wearing the Los Blancos uniform. Varane has experienced calf, hamstring, muscle, knee, calf and ankle injuries.

During his time in the Manchester United uniform, Varane was absent 27 times due to injury. Former Premier League player and manager, Tim Sherwood questioned the 30 year old player’s contribution to the Red Devils.

“For me, Varane has not had any impact on MU,” explained Sherwood as quoted by the Mirror.

“He entered the field, then got injured, came in, got injured again. It’s like he doesn’t have endurance,” he said.

Center back line Manchester United Lately I’ve been limping a lot. Lisandro Martinez was also hit by a metatarsal injury which will keep him out for a long time.

That leaves Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire. Is it time for MU to buy another central defender?
