Raphaël, 12-Year-Old Musician and Singer, Shines on TV Show in Benefit Concert for Unicef

Raphaël, 12 years old, is a student at the town’s music conservatory, directed by Guy-Claude Charcellay.

On March 12, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, Raphaël was one of the young singers who came from all over France to participate in the big musical evening broadcast on W9, for the benefit of Unicef.

And it was alongside Christophe Maé that he was recognized on the small screen by his friends and family. “Friends saw me on TV. Since then they haven’t stopped following me everywhere, but I’m not a star! », notes the one who has modest fame. Which he confirms when asked about his motivation: “I just came to sing for children who need it.”

“Last year, he had already sung with Patrick Bruel. And the pretty head voice he has earned him a call-back,” says his director. Conscientiously, the young boy went to see the singing teacher at the conservatory so that he could make him work before the recording, which took place at the beginning of the year at studio 107, in Paris.

But Raphaël first entered the conservatory to play the saxophone, like his big brother. The last of the siblings having opted for the clarinet. At the end of four years of practice, the exam to access the second cycle is looming. The young boy, who really wants to continue, also trains at home.
