Rape, Child Welfare | A teenage boy is said to have raped a woman at a child welfare institution

Agder police district confirms to NRK Sørlandet that they are investigating a sexual assault at a child welfare institution. The victim is a female employee and the abuser must be a boy who lives at the institution. The boy is said to be below the criminal minimum age, but there is uncertainty related to his age, according to NRK.

– This is part of the investigation that we can not answer now, says prosecutor Terje Kaddeberg Skaar to NRK.

He states that the police carry out normal investigative steps and interrogations in the case.

NRK writes that they have received information that the woman must have gotten out of the house after the incident and sought refuge with neighbors. Here she is said to have explained that she had been raped and held captive.

The private child welfare institution will not comment on the case to NRK and refers to the duty of confidentiality.
