Under US law, registered sex offenders have five days to update their records, such as in the event of a possible move. Kenneth has clearly lost sight of this obligation. The couple moved to California in 2019, but had not registered. Nicki’s husband has an attempted rape to his name, because of facts that took place in 1994. This puts him under house arrest for a year and there is a fine of no less than 55,000 dollars (about 54,000 euros) over his head.

In 1995, a woman stated that Kenneth threatened and raped her on her way to school. They were both 16 years old at the time of the incident. He was immediately arrested and pleaded guilty to ‘attempted rape’. He would have spent about four years behind bars. Nicki and Kenneth started dating in 2018 but have reportedly known each other since childhood. They got married in 2019 and welcomed their first child in October 2020. This was not obvious as Kenneth – as a sex offender – is subject to a curfew. The judge exceptionally adjusted his release conditions so that he could be present at the birth of his child, according to ‘TMZ’.

However, the case continues to haunt the couple. The victim filed another complaint in 2021, but this time not only against Kenneth. She claimed the couple forced her to withdraw the allegations surrounding Kenneth. However, at the beginning of this year it was announced that the complaint about ‘harassment’ had been withdrawn.
