Fatman Scoop dies at the age of 53
On Saturday, the family of Fatman Scoop a statement on social media announcing the rapper’s death:
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of the legend Fatman Scoop. (…) Last night the world lost a shining soul. Fatman Scoop was not only a world-class artist, he was also a father, brother, uncle and friend. (…) His legacy is love – it will remain in our hearts and memories.”
Isaac Freeman IIIthe American’s real name, collapsed during a performance in the US federal state of Connecticut a few hours before the news of his death. The hip-hop heavyweight was then taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of death is not yet known.
Many EDM collabs
Became known Fatman Scoop 1999 with his single “Be Faithful”, in which the Crooklyn Clan and which used the same sample as Faith Evans’ “Love Like This”. The musician subsequently worked with numerous greats such as Timbaland, Missy Elliott or Mariah Carey The American was also active in the EDM sector: Bob Sinclar, Chuckie, Deorro, Gammer, Hardwell, MAKJ, Skrillex, TJR, VINAI, W&W or Yellow Claw worked with the deceased.
Just last Friday, August 30, his single “Our House” was released with Bingo Players and Disco Fries.
