Raoul Bova returns to Dancing with the Stars after six years: is the clash with Selvaggia Lucarelli over or will there be new sparks live?

The argument between Bova and Lucarelli occurred during the fourth episode of the thirteenth edition of Dancing with the Starswhich aired on March 31, 2018. As reported by Davide Maggio and other media, the tension between the two would have manifested itself behind the scenes, before the live broadcast fromAuditorium Rai of the Foro Italico. Bova, enraged by an article dating back to four years before which Lucarelli had harshly criticized him, he would have sought an immediate confrontation with the journalist, going so far as to follow her into the backstage corridor. The reason for the resentment dates back to a piece published on Libero in which Lucarelli had questioned the actor’s talent, writing with biting irony: “You didn’t suspect that you were a bit of a dog even when they had you dubbed Bolta four-legged hero”.

These words had deeply annoyed Bova, who had not hidden his disappointment. Lucarelli then said that the actor would have started shouting at her and insulting her, accusing her of having damaged his reputation: “Bova followed me into the corridor saying that he had come to Dancing with the intention of telling me things directly. I had never met him in my life, I was surprised. He started referencing an article of mine but I couldn’t remember anything I had written. The face to face six years later
Despite the tense atmosphere behind the scenes, Bova and his partner, Rocío Muñoz Moralesperformed live. However, the bad mood between the actor and the juror was also evident during the broadcast. Lucarelli, then as now part of the jury, gave Bova an 8, a lower score than the other judges who instead rewarded the performance with a round 10, accompanying her decision with a decidedly sarcastic tweet: “Raoul Bova dances better than he acts“. Raoul Bova has never made any official statements on the matter, of which we therefore only know Lucarelli’s version, but the cold manner with which the two blatantly ‘snubbed’ each other during that live broadcast suggests that there was actually quite a bit of tension between them. What will happen then tonight? Dancing with the Stars in 2024, Bova will once again find himself face to face with the ‘enemy’ Selvaggia. And knowing the journalist’s biting, ironic and polemical character, it is a safe bet that she will take advantage of the opportunity to ‘sting’ the actor again and to give rise to a sort of showdown after the unpleasant episode of six years ago.
