Ranucci: “In Sunday’s episode of Report there is another case involving Giuli”

Not just the case Spano. In the episode of Report which will be broadcast next Sunday “there is another case involving Giuli”. The journalist announces it again Siegfried Ranuccihost of the RaiTre investigative program and guest of the program ‘Un giorno da pecora’ on Radio 1, as happened a few days ago where he anticipated the themes of the episode by implying that they have “another male Boccia case” that they will broadcast. The focus of the broadcast’s investigation will therefore not only be on the case in question Francesco Spanothe former head of cabinet of the Ministry of Culture, who resigned yesterday nine days after the appointment strongly supported by the minister Alessandro Giulidespite the controversies and pressure from FdI to remove him because he was too close to the center-left and the LGBTQ community.

And speaking of Spano, Ranucci is keen to point out that the decision to resign is his, “the head of cabinet’s, I believe that we have little involvement in it, in the sense that we have only anticipated part of the investigation. I believe that they were decisions made, yes, based on the anticipation of the service but not because of the service. There was probably a temporal relationship but we have other things to say”, underlines the journalist.

In short, the Spano affair “is a small part of the investigation broadcast on Sunday on Report. After what we will show, someone who doesn’t love him in Brothers of Italy can draw strength from it – he explains – The problem is: under what requirements was Giuli appointed minister? We will show some things he has done in the past, how he managed Maxxi and his role in this second Boccia case. There is another case similar to the Boccia case which does not concern Spano, but a role that Giuli also had”.

“Did you tell us that there were two cases?” ask the radio hosts Giorgio Lauro e Geppi Cucciari. “You see… I also gave the wrong information. I advised Giuli to watch Inter-Juve, but it’s in the afternoon, there’s Roma-Fiorentina in the evening”, replies Ranucci. “He said that there are chats linked to high exponents of Fratelli d’Italia?”, ask Lauro and Cucciari again. “Yes, I said it to you, have you forgotten?”. “Has it been said that Sangiuliano is one of your sources?”, another question. “This is a falsehood, but then anyone who knows me knows that they have to take down my telephone records to get me to dig up the sources”, says Ranucci again.

However, Sunday’s investigation will also deal with Giuli’s “presidency of Maxxi. A flop?”, the title of the new clip that Ranucci published on social media. The National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, the Maxxi, “opened its doors in 2010. In just a few years – we read in the post that accompanies the video – has established itself as one of the most important contemporary art museums in Italy, with over 300 thousand tickets sold in 2022. Numbers which, however, collapsed during the presidency of Alessandro Giuli”, as he has already written Republic in recent days. “In 2023, ticket revenues decreased by 30% compared to the previous year, when Giovanna Melandri was president”, going – explains the service – from 2.5 million euros to 1.9 million. “He wouldn’t get away with it the sponsorship budget is better: the money that private individuals gave to Maxxi to pay for exhibitions and events went from 1.2 million in 2022 to 600 thousand euros with Giuli”. Reached by Giorgio Mottolaauthor of the investigation, the Minister of Culture replied: “The calculations are made in the end. You must remember, or you can remember, do as you wish, that when I took office I inherited a program which I allowed to reach its conclusion As someone said, the calculations are done in the end.”
