A new classification was issued that ranks the most powerful naval warfare fleets around the world during the current year 2023, according to specific criteria.
And if the first three sites were expected, the country whose naval force was fourth was a surprise.
The classification was issued by the “Global Directory of Modern Military Warships”, which has two websites in which it says that its mission is to provide a comprehensive monitoring of the strengths and weaknesses of war fleets around the world.
The classification covers 36 countries around the world, as shown by the directory site.
The classification depends on several elements, including: the number of warships, submarines, age of fleets, logistical support, and defense capabilities.

First place: the United States
The United States obtained 323.9 points in the new classification, which is the highest score of points, due to its possession of a wide mix of naval vessels and submarines. There are 243 active naval units, including 11 aircraft carriers, 68 submarines, 70 destroyers and other warships.
The marine vessels are distinguished by their young age, with an average of 23.3 years. Second place: China
China is the rising maritime power, with the largest fleet of 425 active units as of August 2023, including 3 aircraft carriers, 72 submarines, 48 destroyers, and 71 cruisers.
Its fleet is younger than its American counterpart, with an average age of 13.8 years, and China scored 318.9 points.
