“Overall, it can be stated that after the majority of the pandemic-related requirements have expired, an increasing number of crimes have been recorded in almost all areas of crime,” says the Federal Police regarding the statistics. Cologne Central Station is represented three times; for violent crimes, sexual offenses and BTM offenses. With Düsseldorf main station, the frontrunner in the weapons offenses category is also in North Rhine-Westphalia, and Essen main station and Dortmund main station are also represented in this list. The NRW Interior Ministry also recently published crime statistics on police operations at NRW train stations.
