Dresden. Dynamo Dresden welcomes the second team of SC Freiburg on the 14th matchday of the 3rd football league. The second in the table meets the second to last. Actually a clear matter. Coach Markusbeginn, however, warns his team about their upcoming opponents: “Freiburg is always able to influence games and have a lot of possession. If we let them take control, they are a team that can cause us problems.”
Kick-off is on Saturday at 2 p.m. The stadium is supposed to be sold out. 28,000 tickets have been sold so far. As always, we report live and in detail here in the ticker.

Last season, both duels against the second representative of the Bundesliga club ended 1-1. Dynamo’s top scorer Ahmet Arslan, who now plays in the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Magdeburg, scored Dresden’s goals in the first and second leg. At the end of the season, the Freiburg reserves finished well ahead of Dynamo in the table and came second.
It’s not working yet this season. Coach Thomas Stamm’s team has only won two games. Four points separate Breisgau from a non-relegation zone. What is striking is the weak offensive – no team in the league has so far scored fewer goals than Freiburg.
At the beginning you can still expect a dangerous opponent. “The structure that the coach has there was very successful last season. Even though many players are no longer there, the way they want to play has remained the same,” he says. “It will be important for us that we play aggressively without being unfair, that we win our duels and find solutions with the ball on offense.”
At the beginning you will probably have to do without six players. Paul Lehmann (rehab after knee surgery), Tobias Kraulich (torn muscle fiber), Lucas Cueto (lack of training), Kyrylo Melichenko (knee injury), Manuel Schäffler (pain in the adductor area) and Jonathan Meier (strain in the adductor area) will most likely not be able to take part. The use of Tom Zimmerschied, who only returned to team training this week after his shoulder injury, is questionable.
