Company Samsung introduced a new 8K smart tv Neo QLED QN990C (more precisely, QE98QN990C) belonging to the QN990C series (it is not very clear how and if it differs at all from the QN900C series, which consists of 65″, 75″ and 85″ models, except for the diagonal). The novelty is equipped with an LCD (not OLED) panel, which, however, has a Mini-LED backlight that takes care of local changes in brightness to improve contrast. The operating system is Tizen, and the sound is handled by a 6.4.4 audio system with a power of 120 W and Dolby Atmos support.
We do not yet know when the new product will appear in Europe, but in South Korea it will cost 49.9 million won, which is equivalent to 840 thousand CZK. Interestingly, the current 85″ variant costs CZK 270,000 in our country, and the availability of a smaller variant suggests that the bigger brother might also appear. An interesting thing about the TV is that the panel is not manufactured by Samsung itself, which stopped using the production of LCD panels for TVs, the Chinese company TCL CSOT took care of it.
