From the presidential candidates, progressive citizens want and need to hear proposals, positions, plans for today and tomorrow. Not only of SYRIZA, but of society. They want a political dialogue, with principles and values. They are looking for a list of political programs that will concern democracy, social justice, the welfare state. They want to hear answers to their problems, a progressive way out of the dark impasse that the Mitsotakis administration is leading us to.
We must refute ND, and the whole system that supports it. With our actions, with our struggles, inside and outside the parliament. To disprove those and all those who want to close the SYRIZA case, the perspective of the ruling Left, to finish with the party that has been spoiling their plans for years, to defeat the leftist ideas.
We have positions, we have proposals and solutions. We have a strong intervention in parliament, we submit proposals for laws, we do parliamentary control. All this should not be lost in the noise of internal party complaints. Because the more we dynamit the climate, the more we disappoint our world. To compete and win the bet of mass and active participation of our members, in all procedures.
Next to today’s SYRIZA there is also the social SYRIZA. The hundreds of thousands of men and women who believed in SYRIZA, who fought for him, who led him to the government. It is to this SYRIZA, to the disillusioned, to the distanced, to the cautious left-wing, progressive, democratic citizens that we must appeal. We need to convince him and approach him again.
The world of SYRIZA is the guarantor of unity, combativeness, the perspective of the party, but of society. Because it is the power and the embryo of the progressive counterattack, of social and political change.”
