Just over two weeks ago, Philippe Lamboley, agent for Anthony Martial, said that the Frenchman wants to leave Manchester United. Since then, the 26-year-old has been linked with several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Sevilla.
Now United coach Ralf Rangnick confirms that Martial wants to leave.
– He explained to me that he has been at Manchester United for seven years and that he feels that now is the right time for a club change, to go somewhere else, says Ralf Rangnick according to the Daily Mirror.
– It is understandable, I can understand how he thinks. At the same time, it is important to see the situation from the club’s perspective. These are covid times, we are participating in three competitions in which we have high ambitions to be as successful as we can.
Ralf Rangnick believes that Manchester United may, however, re-evaluate the situation if they receive an offer for the French winger.
– I told him that as long as there is no club that shows interest, he will stay. As far as I know, we have not received any offer from any other club, and as long as that is the case, he will stay, Rangnick says according to the Daily Mirror.
Anthony Martial has been sparing with playing time this season. The 26-year-old has only been noted for a goal in ten games in the United shirt.
